Building Trades Council Breaks Ground; Becomes Park Caretakers

  • Event & Meeting Space for Members

The Northwest Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council began construction in late January on their new headquarters and event space. The 5,000 SF building includes office and conference areas, with an event hall for over 200 people. First- and second-story patios provide additional space for gatherings.

  • Reflects the Trades

The building is clad in a metal panel system and embraces an industrial style, including exposed structures and systems as a tribute to the trades represented by the Council. Portions of the facility will be built with volunteer union labor. Construction is scheduled for completion in late June.

  • Maintain Workers' Memorial

As part of the land agreement, the Council will become caretakers for the adjacent Workers’ Memorial Monument and surrounding seven-acre park dedicated to fallen tradespeople.
