The new Student Center provides a holistic support system for academic success and student services.
Springfield, Ohio Upon completion of an in-depth study for the new student success center, The Collaborative worked with Clark State Community College to design a solution for this multi-faceted space.
A student-focused hub, the 47,308 SF Karen E. Rafinski Student Center is now home to all of the student support services, including accessibility services; advising; counseling; placement testing; tutoring; group study spaces and meeting rooms; as well as academic support labs for math, reading, writing, and communication. In addition, the new facility joins two neighboring buildings, the LRC and Rhodes Hall, through new construction. The connector building includes a new bookstore, state-of-the-art food service, dining facilities and lounge space for students. The new dining facility replaced a snack bar and is now the main food service destination on campus.
