The atmosphere, with coffee bar and interactive technology, aims to put students and families at ease.
Berea, Ohio Baldwin Wallace University and The Collaborative teamed to shape a new gateway to campus for prospective students. The new Welcome Center brings visitors directly into the heart of campus, exposing them to the core of student activity.
A sense of warmth and BW pride greet visitors in the new 11,000 SF Admissions building. LEED Certified, the Welcome Center is the eighth building on campus to utilize geothermal wells. The sustainable technology draws on constant temperatures deep underground for efficient, lower cost heating and cooling. The new building is expected to operate 26% more efficiently than a code-standard building.
The new facility shares parking with the adjacent Strosacker Hall College Union and offers wayfinding signage for first-time visitors.
